Flexeserve becomes patron of the Transatlantic Chamber of Commerce

Flexeserve®, the industry leader in hot food-to-go, is delighted to announce its patronage of the Greater Birmingham Transatlantic Chamber of Commerce.

The decision, which also includes patronage of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, is part of the company’s strategy to support its expansion into the US and increase its growing export sales. Flexeserve® is already supplying its world-leading heated display units to some of the largest chains of convenience stores in the US, to service their growing food-to-go market.

The Chambers

The Greater Birmingham Transatlantic Chamber of Commerce (GBTCC) is a chapter of the ‘BritishAmerican Business’ network, the largest transatlantic networking organisation promoting trade and investment between the UK and North America. GBTCC provides bespoke benefits to its patrons to help establish effective connections and networks that support investment in the US.

The Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) is a membership-led, business support organisation that has acted as the voice of Midlands businesses since 1813. GBCC helps to connect members through strategic networking, to increase their brand recognition and aid business planning and development.

Patronage of the Chambers is regarded as the most high profile and exclusive group of its kind in the region. Existing patrons of the GBTCC include HSBC, Birmingham Airport and Birmingham City University.

A recipe for success

Jamie Joyce, CEO of Flexeserve® said: “We’re delighted to be joining a group with so many extraordinary companies as fellow patrons.

“Becoming a patron of the Transatlantic Chamber of Commerce, in particular, is a crucial part of our plan to increase our export sales in the North American food-to go market. Having access to the right connections, audiences, markets and intelligence will be a key driver to achieving success in this important marketplace.”

Working with key contacts at the Chamber, Paul Faulkner – CEO, Mandy Haque – International Director, and Henrietta Brealey – Director of Policy & Strategic Relationships, has already identified clear objectives for Flexeserve® to support its expansion into the US and further raise its profile in the UK. These include establishing strategic connections and networks, accessing government-backed support and opportunities, and developing awareness of Flexeserve® within the business community.

Jamie continued: “Sales of Flexeserve® heated display units have grown exponentially over the past few years. In the last 12-18 months, it’s been our rise in export sales that’s really driven that growth forward.

“Having already secured a number of major customers in the US, we’re now looking to truly enter the North American market and establish a physical base there, supported by our operations in the UK, as well as working in conjunction with our existing US distributor.

“It was instantly evident on meeting the team from the Chamber that they would be able to do so much more than we realised, to support us on this journey and help us deliver our bold strategy in such an important territory. All of us at Flexeserve® are extremely excited about the ideas we have already explored to take our innovative products and services to the next level.”

Paul Faulkner, Chief Executive of GBCC, said: “We are delighted to welcome Flexeserve® on board as patrons of both Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce and Greater Birmingham Transatlantic Chamber of Commerce.

“Flexeserve® is an innovative, dynamic and forward-thinking business – and a key player in a variety of retail and hospitality markets around the world.

“We’re really pleased that the Chamber is able to support their future endeavours, particularly their expansion into the North American market, and are excited to see them grow even further.”
