Both will utilize their vast experience to oversee future innovations and carry on the legacy of Technical Director, Mick Steele, as he retires at the end of 2025.

Jon has a proven ability to combine mechanical and electrical design with advanced, electronic control systems. Meanwhile, Dan has shown a distinct aptitude for testing, enhancing and implementing digital functionality and telemetry across a variety of applications. Together, they are building a process that will see theory and plans become the next generation of Flexeserve’s innovative products.

“It’s always been my goal to create new products that make a difference to people’s everyday lives,” Jon began. “I’m excited to join Flexeserve and work alongside Dan to aid our mission of advancing the foodservice industry.”

“Improving quality, convenience and efficiency is our combined goal at Flexeserve,” Dan added. “Jon and I are excited to continue the already-impressive work that has been achieved, whilst offering new and fresh ideas and execution.”

A history of pioneering foodservice products

Dan and Jon’s respective history within the foodservice industry has made them ideal candidates for their newly created roles at Flexeserve.

Previously working for global beverage brands in research and development, Dan Vallance has developed significant improvements to electrical systems, addressing their potential capabilities and connectivity – including how they communicate with each other. This is immensely important for Flexeserve as they delve deeper into new digital services for their customers.

Prior to joining Flexeserve, Jon White has already delivered on several successful innovations. In particular, his work developing a range of high-performance speed ovens reflects the deep understanding needed to meet the manufacturing standards of Flexeserve’s industry-leading products.

With both having been accustomed to developing new products for multi-national brands, Dan and Jon’s arrival at Flexeserve ensures its key, globally significant customers remain at the centre of the foodservice industry’s latest advancements.

Limitless technology for superior products

Patented and completely unique, the 3D convection technology found in all Flexeserve hot-holding products enables unmatched food quality, variety and display times. However, the addition of Dan and Jon to the team now means new possibilities have opened for the potential of this technological innovation.

These possibilities are supported by Flexeserve’s investment in its research and testing processes. The new directors’ influence on product innovation will see them using facilities such as their unique Environmental Test Chamber to create new scenarios and observe airflow effects on food.

The Chamber is just one of the methods utilized by Flexeserve to capture valuable data, which can then be analysed and used to inform future groundbreaking products and development for the benefit of their customers.
